And away we go again....

We are relaxing in a business lounge in the Toronto airport at this moment. Sipping a beer and waiting for our overnight flight to Lisbon.

We started this trip yesterday morning with a drive from Kaslo to Kelowna, over the snow covered Monashee  Pass. We spent a night in a hotel in Kelowna before taking the long way to Toronto.  Our direct flight was cancelled and replaced with a flight to Vancouver and then a connecting flight to Toronto. Our overnight flight to Lisbon leaves at 11 pm and we are scheduled to arrive in Lisbin at 10  am Lisbon time.  It is a long trip!

We have about 30 hours in Lisbon to help us recover before we catch the next flight to Tenerife, where will stay for 2 weeks.

Gotta love these airport lounges!  We have known about them for while but didn't start to use them until friends recommended that we apply for a Scotia Bank Passport Visa card. Not only does the card give you all the regular travel benefits but it also converts foreign currency transactions at the bank rate and include 6 free airport lounge uses each year for both of us.  These two benefit alone more than cover the card fee.

Our plans for this trip include two weeks on Tenerife, a week in Lisbon, a week on Madeira and then we will head back to Spain for two month. A month in Frigliana and a month in Olvera.

Not many  photos yet but I have a new camera so I'm looking forward to posting lots.
