Home for the holidays...

‘Twas 2 nights before Christmas and all heady with glee
assembled, we toiled to decorate the tree.
The popcorn and cranberries had yesterday been strung
but the gingerbread cookies had yet to be done.
Linda mixed up the concoction and baked them with ease.
The rest of us struggled to decorate to please.
With concentration and dexterity we squeezed out the sugar
into patterns and costumes exceeding cleaver.
As the puppies relaxed in distant locations
with heads upon paws in careless positions,
we hung our creations with care on the tree.
It’s a wonderful experience… as you can see!
